IAAS Exams information:
IAAS Trainee Casework Assistant (TCWA)
Exam Duration: 1.5 hours, Multiple Choice Test (MCT)
Pass Mark: The pass mark is 50%
Exam Format: 30 multiple choice questions.
IAAS Casework Assistant CWA (Level 1) and IAAS Senior Caseworker SCW (Level 2)
Exam Duration: 3 hours written examination + 30 min compulsory reading time
Pass Mark: The pass mark is 50%
Advance Materials: Candidates will be issued with advance materials (fact patterns) one week before the exam. Candidates should use these materials to research and prepare for the exam.
Exam Format and Content: Open book examination and candidates can take any written materials into the examination. The examination is structured as follows:
1. A 30 mark WRITTEN question on asylum and related areas arising from the advance materials
2. A 30 mark DRAFTING question arising from advance materials (You need to score min 15 marks in this section)
3. A 25 mark structured question not from the advance materials.
4. A 15 marks for 5 multiple choice questions carrying 3 marks each.
